A quick stock search on DeviantArt, or even Google, will get you many results. If you want some 2D pose references, it’s good too! I make use of both and human stocks are better for 3D artists. Pinterest is a very good option for reference hunting too! But don’t copy anything you see there, it’s a douche move! You can be inspired by the art and photography you see there and reference some things. Pinterest is useful for lighting references (we’ll talk about that in a while). My general posing tip is to respect the model’s capacities, avoid pushing it to the limits! Also, practice posing from scratch, without using premade pose packs. I learned it the hard way because of the game ports. If you prefer rendering portraits like me, things get a little different.
